When you signup for a Web-up! Picture posting account, Galloway Graphics will set up two customized web pages for you designed to make ebay* picture posting easy.

1. Your Links Page -all your ebay links in one convenient place

   The first web page is a personalized links page to link you to your password protected upload page, and will also serve as a convenient place for all of your frequently used links. We will include links to the ebay forms you use and links to your listings on ebay. We will also include up to one dozen of your personal favorite links for your convenience.

2. Your Upload Page - Picture go from your hard drive to the Web with two easy clicks from your web browser!

   The second web page we will create for you has a form based upload utility that enables you to hit a browse button to locate the picture you wish to upload from your own computer's drives (100k limit).   Then you upload your picture directly to the world wide web by clicking the send button. It can be viewed as soon as you see the upload confirmation page by using the back button and clicking on the link for your index of pics. The index of pics will show you an index of all your pictures, and you can click on the name of a picture to confirm that it is web viewable. While viewing the picture your browser's location box will show you the URL (or address) of your picture, which you can click to select and then hit ctrl + c to copy and then paste this into your ebay form under picture location for accuracy by clicking once in the form field and then hitting ctrl. + v to paste.

   We ask that you keep your picture sizes under 100k. (30-50 k or less is even better!) This ensures that all your potential buyers (even those with slow servers or modems can see your pictures without an unreasonably long download time.

galloweb is developing a picture posting tutorial based on Paint Shop Pro (an excellent shareware graphics program) to help beginners along the cyber road to success on ebay. A link to the tutorial will be placed on your link page.

1. You will need to have a way of creating pictures (i.e. a camera or scanner) and need to understand how to save pictures as JPEG's or GIF format. (These are the only two formats viewable on the World Wide Web.) We will help you with this if needed.

2. Pictures should be under 100k bytes in size, both to conserve space on the server and to insure fast picture loading by the ebay viewing public ( if you have a camera this comes naturally (except maybe with modern hi-resolution cameras), while scanners are capable of creating monster huge size files unless you set them up with web photo settings). Our tech help can help you with this!

3. You will need to be using Netscape ver. 3.x or 4.x OR Internet Explorer ver. 4.x, or 5.x as your web browser to use this account. AOL 4.0 browser will also work .

Both IE4 and Netscape 4.5 are available free and will work with AOL and most ISPs.
